Sheldon Dorf, the founder of the best networking hub for artists, San Diego Comic Con, freaking passes away... I owe him so much. If it werent for SDCC I wouldnt have had either of my jobs at Gentle Giant or Sideshow putting me where I am today... and Im sure that goes for many artists out there.

Its a damned shame that no one seems to give to sh!ts about this. I mean, seriously. The FOUNDER of San Diego Comic Con? Do people realize what this man is responsible for?

Its so sad that no one is making news of this, or commenting on it, ANYWHERE. Effing pathetic.

No disrespect to anyone else, but I remember a pretty big name passing away not too long ago in the comic book industry and people acted like the earth turned on it's axis.

Sheldon Dorf is THE man, THE MAN. None of us can even begin to fathom accomplishing something as great as he has.

If you seriously care about this industry you'll make as many people aware of what this man has done and that he's gone now... one of the most SELFLESS people who has indirectly improved COUNTLESS peoples lives is gone from this planet.

Ive been at Gentle Giant Studios for 3 awesome years, and I had an extremely hard decision put in front of me to leave and go to our big competitor Sideshow.

Officially the hardest decision of my life... but Im excited for a fresh start somewhere new.

Thanks for the 3 years GG, Im sad as hell to leave, Im gonna miss the hell outa everyone...

Comic Con is coming up, and with that comes a ton of awesome, and I refuse to NOT be a part of any sort of awesome.

So I signed us up, we made an art book, we're selling it, selling prints, wearing cool shirts, doing sketches, getting blasted out of our minds, and standing in font of an awesome ass PVC pipe rig with a huge ass SatelliteSoda cloth banner.

Oh yes... we're serious, and we're in Small Press O16.

The book is looking rad, we're selling 200 of these suckers for $20 each and with that comes a free 11"x17" card stock matte print. It's a pretty sweet deal, especially when you see the book featuring the art of:

We've been working on SatelliteSoda v3.0 for over a year now, and we're too damn picky with making sure everything's effing perfect (and because Raul's a Code-Nazi) so a v2.5 has been made with some cool new features.

We have a sketchbook section, where every 3 hours a new sketch will be cycled through the mix with 10 images always shown, so basically every day you get a page of new art.

Video has also been added to the galleries... WHAT!?!?

We also have a Twitter Feed and a Vimeo Channel.

Lastly, the forums have been totally re-vamped so yah.... FACE LIFT!

V3 is also kicking major ass, it's just not done yet. Make sure to put garbage bags around your computer screen and keyboard when it goes live though to keep all the brain matter off when your heads explode from all the awesome...

...on how many people who get their car stolen, get it stolen a second time, I am now part of that statistic.

Good news though, the Captain America Shield is safely tucked away at work.

Bad news, $80 worth of new/I needed to return shoes from Zappos were in the trunk, and my second effing jawbone bluetooth was in there.

Finally, I have learned to NEVER keep ANYTHING in my car EVER, and it only took me getting me car broken into once, and stolen twice, all within two and a half months, to figure that out.
