Artist's Comments

This actually started out as some random guy smoking a cigarette, then I changed him a bit then my buddy added some on, then I did, and we still never finished. He's doing a sculpt off this sorta kinda now... so keep an eye out for it.

I like this piece. You are one of the few "ink" people that i follow. Working in black and white is such an honest way to draw. With traditional inks it can be very unforgiving, and you can go thru opaque white like nobody's business. The addition of digital black work, must really allow an inkman to relax and bit and not be so timid when slapping down ink, because your black work seems to be developing a more fluid and expressive aspect.

Back on track.....I like the take on Willy Wonka. Bit darker and edgey approach on a popular product icon. Funny as it sounds I'd like to see your approach to some more iconic charcters from product advertising. Characters like Mr. Clean kinda sounds like a hitman. The ringmaster/joker feel of this piece really sets a great mood, and sets the stage for a brooding setting. As a collab it makes this piece even more unique in my eyes.
